Intro to Curling - 2026 Fall Session

What to Expect

• Arrival: Arrive 20 minutes prior to your session to stretch, fit grippers and receive instruction before going on the ice.
• Ice Conditions: The ice shed is kept around 3°C, so warm, loose, layered clothing and gloves are highly recommended.  

Equipment

• Footwear (Required): Carry in a clean, dry pair of rubber-soled running shoes (flat bottoms work best). Outdoor shoes are strictly prohibited on the ice.
• Clothing: Avoid wearing apparel that easily sheds lint, fibers or glitter, as debris on the ice severely impacts playability.
• Provided Gear: Grippers, brooms and step-on sliders are all supplied
• Helmets: Recommended for all new curlers. Helmets are neither required nor provided for participants 12 and over. Helmets are mandatory for participants under 12. 

Required Waivers

• Adults (18+): Must read and sign the Acknowledgement of Risk and Release of Liability Waiver prior to stepping onto the ice.
• Youth (Under 18): A parent or guardian must complete the Informed Consent and Assumption of Risk Agreement.   .
