What They will Learn: Basic rock delivery, sweeping techniques, rule of the game and ice safety - all led by friendly coaches and/or club volunteers. 

What to Bring:

Footwear: A clean pair of rubber-soled running shoes (carried in, not worn from outdoors to protect the ice). 

Attire: Warm, flexible clothing layered for comfort, plus a pair of gloves but no clothing that sheds as that will severely impact the ice playability. 

Safety: A helmet is mandatory for those under 12 and highly recommended for all. 

All other specialized curling equipment - including brooms and sliders - will be provided at no cost!

Location: York Curling Club, 220 Muriel St, Newmarket Ontario

Date & Time: Sunday October 18, 2026.  10am start in lounge to gear up and review safety instructions followed by 10:30am to 12:30am on the ice!

Signing of the "Acknowledgement of Risk and Release of Liability Waiver" is MANDATORY before stepping onto the ice. Please click on the appropriate age link below and complete the Google Form waiver prior to attending the event.
