A little piece of YCC history...

Everyone has noticed the beautiful painting of "Curling on Fairy Lake", 1963, hung proudly at York Curling Club.

What you might not know is that each person depicted in that scene was a founding member of YCC!

Recently we had the pleasure of one of the founding members visit the club, and she proudly pointed herself out in the picture.

Mae Glass can be found in the lower right corner.

She is 102 years old and her 13-year old great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Sharko is currently a junior curler at YCC.

She passed on a little known fact, that the artist also painted herself in the picture.

Katherine Ross Robinson is the only one looking directly out at you when you look at the painting!
